A lifted Bronco is a long step up. The OMU Genesis Series Aluminum Running Board Side Step gives you a 120mm wide tread to land on, built from aluminum alloy that is significantly lighter than a steel step of the same footprint.
The tread pattern is designed around a problem steel steps have: mud packs into the surface and stays there. This one has channels that let it out.

It is the same part listed on our Running Board Side Step product page. If your vehicle is not in the row above, this one will not bolt up — message us before ordering and we will point you at the version that does.
Aluminum, Anodized, Rated
The step is aluminum alloy, engineered for a load of roughly 200 kg. That is a lot more than a boot, which means it also behaves as side protection when the trail puts a rock against the rocker panel.
The surface is hard anodized, which the manufacturer describes as tripling corrosion resistance compared with an untreated finish. On a part that sees road salt and coastal air, that is the difference between a ten-year part and a three-year one.
Tread Geometry
The tread is widened to 120mm, and the anti-slip pattern is raised rather than stamped. Raised texture gives your boot edges something to bite on when the surface is wet or muddy.
Under the tread is a 3D geometric hollow structure. It cuts weight, and it creates open channels so mud falls through instead of caking. On a recovery, you can scrape a boot across it and clear the step.
Design and Finish Detail
The CNC-machined OMU logo has mirror-polished edges, so it catches light without being a decal that peels. The overall silhouette is deliberately angular to match the Bronco's boxy proportions.
Installation
Installation is meant to be done with hand tools, without fabrication. The steps bolt up to the Bronco's mounting provisions, and no cutting or welding is involved.
Two people make the job quicker because of the length of the boards. Once mounted, the step doubles as a place to stand when you are reaching a roof rack.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will these running boards fit my Bronco?
They are made for the Ford Bronco. If you are on a different platform, they will not bolt up.
How much weight will they hold?
The published load figure is approximately 200 kg. That covers a person stepping up with gear, and it means the step also works as side protection against rocks.
Do they get slippery when muddy?
The tread is 120mm wide with a raised anti-slip pattern rather than a stamped one, and the hollow core under it creates channels that shed mud instead of trapping it.
Is drilling required?
No. They install with basic hand tools and bolt to the Bronco's mounting provisions. No cutting or welding.
