Aluminum Body, Carbon Detail
The side bar is high-strength aluminum alloy: light enough to avoid loading the body and strong enough to stand on. Aluminum also resists corrosion, which is what keeps it looking the same after a muddy season or a trip to the coast.
Dry carbon fiber is used as trim. It is a visual and tactile upgrade rather than a structural claim, and it is what separates this from a plain aluminum tube.
Fit Against the Body
The most common complaint about aftermarket running boards is a gap that traps dirt and whistles at speed. This one is measured to the original JL side so it fits tightly, which cuts noise between the step and the body.
The overall line is deliberately simple. A fussy step fights the Wrangler's own styling; a clean one blends into it.
CNC Logo and Finish
The OMU logo is CNC cut rather than applied, with a polished finish that catches light. No decal to peel.
Protection and Access
The widened stepping surface makes getting in and out easier, particularly for passengers or on a lifted Jeep. Underneath, the bar takes the rock and branch contact that would otherwise reach the rocker panel and doors.
Nothing on the body is cut. The boards mount to the JL's existing structure, so the upgrade does not compromise the factory body.
