This is the JL and Gladiator JT version of our mirror rain guard: high-strength aluminum alloy with carbon fiber trim, shaped to sit over the factory mirror housing.
The design is semi-enclosed, which is the compromise that matters. Full coverage would keep more rain off, but it would also cut into the mirror's usable field of view.

Aluminum Body, Carbon Trim
The guard is made from high-strength aluminum alloy with a lightweight design. It takes the trail abuse — gravel, brush, the occasional mirror-to-branch contact — and it resists corrosion.
Carbon fiber elements are added for texture and a sportier read against the Wrangler's tough exterior.
Semi-Enclosed, Not Fully Enclosed
The half-enclosed shape blocks rain and mud while leaving as much of the mirror's field of view as possible intact. That is a deliberate trade-off, and it is the reason this design works in practice rather than only in photographs.
The guard fits the factory housing rather than sitting on top of it, so it does not add bulk where you check your blind spot.
GoPro Mount Position
There is a reserved GoPro mounting position and a dedicated camera bracket included. You can fix a camera to the rain shield without buying anything else.
Mirror height is a useful camera angle for trail footage: low enough to see how the front wheel is working, and clear of anything mounted on the roof.
