Material and Thickness
Everything structural is aluminum alloy: two longitudinal beams, six crossbars, four corners and six brackets. The main body is 4.5mm and the internal crossbar is 2.0mm, comfortably above the 1.5–1.8mm sheet used on many racks.
Custom molds were cut for the four corners and six brackets, and those parts are CNC machined. It is the expensive way to do it and the reason loaded joints do not distort.
Load Spread Across the Roof
Each bracket uses a curved design with sponge pads, so it follows the roof instead of sitting on two contact points. The pads also cut body wear where the feet meet the hardtop.
The stress points are arranged so load spreads across the full roof beam rather than concentrating in one spot. That is what keeps a loaded rack from deforming the hardtop over time.
Surface and Airflow
The rack goes through oxidation and then spraying, which produces a more uniform color than a single coat and protects the aluminum underneath.
Air deflectors are standard, and the front crossbar has a circular arc to manage airflow. Even at highway speed the wind noise contribution is small.
Expansion Slots
Every crossbar carries expansion slots, so side tents, roof tents and water tanks mount without a custom bracket.
That is the difference between a rack you use once and a platform you build on. Pair it with the side ladder and you have a way up that does not involve standing on a door sill.

No. This rack is for the Jeep Wrangler JL. We make a separate rack for the Bronco, and the JK has a different roof.
