What's in the Kit
The spare tire extension bracket moves the mounting surface out past the spare. The adjustable flag mount body is the main structure, and the radio antenna bracket takes a comms antenna.
There are also pre-drilled standard mounting points for accessories such as action cameras and auxiliary lights, so you are not limited to the three items above.
Aluminum Skeleton, Carbon Overlay
The core is a precision-engineered aluminum and carbon fiber assembly. The aluminum skeleton gives a strength-to-weight ratio above traditional steel, and the carbon fiber overlay adds impact resistance and visual depth.
It is finished with CNC machining and a high-temperature powder coating, which is what handles windblown sand and prolonged UV exposure.
Fit to the Defender
The kit was developed from 3D scans of the new Defender tailgate, and the gap between the mounted assembly and the body is controlled to within about 2mm. That is the number that decides whether the assembly rattles on rough terrain.
The finish is matched to the factory paint, so the added hardware does not visually break up the rear of the vehicle.
Using It
On a desert crossing, a tall flag is the visual anchor that keeps a convoy together. At night, a light on the bracket illuminates the work area behind the truck. On a long trip, a camera mounted there captures the miles behind you.
The adjustable bracket positions at different heights, so it takes accessories of different sizes rather than one fixed fit.
