This is the shift knob for the 2011-2017 Wrangler JK. It is aluminum alloy with a carbon fiber element, CNC machined and anodized, in the same titanium black we use across the range.
The shape is the point. The contours are built around how a hand actually holds a lever, which is why it feels different from the factory knob the first time you shift.

Machined Aluminum, Anodized
The knob is turned from aluminum alloy using CNC machining, then given an anodizing treatment. Anodizing is what gives it wear and corrosion resistance and the metallic texture that makes the surface feel like metal rather than coated plastic.
Carbon fiber is used as an accent, adding contrast against the aluminum and the titanium black finish.
Shaped for a Hand
The exterior is a streamlined form rather than a ball. That shape is easier to grip naturally, so the driver is not adjusting their hand every time they shift.
That difference shows up on a trail, where you are shifting while the vehicle is moving around under you.
Embossed Logo
The OMU logo is embossed rather than printed. Embossing gives it depth and texture, and it cannot rub off the way a decal or a print does.
Installation
The knob threads onto the factory lever, so installation is straightforward and does not require cutting or adapters.
Check the model year before ordering. This version is for 2011-2017 JK. If you drive a JL or a Gladiator JT, we make a separate knob for those trucks.
